I pre-ordered this book, and it finally arrived a few days ago.Sure, people often say "it's a page turner" or "I couldn't put it down"... well, it's true!I've been keeping honey bees for over 14 years, and basically collect honey bee books scientific and entertaining.Book in hand, I sat on the porch and absolutely lost count of time! The sun set and I hadn't collected eggs from the coop!Frank Mortimer has a writing style that brings you along as he discovers honey bee keeping, and his early experiences are hilarious, and the text also informs.That balance between teaching and entertaining isn't always easy, and prior to this book, not very well done in the past.This is now my Top Recommendation for those thinking about keeping honey bees.AND, it's also on Audible, so you can go about your beekeeping chores while listening. The narrator mispronounces some terms, but it's also excellent.If you're thinking about keeping honey bees, read this first!If you've been a beekeeper for many years, you'll be entertained by the beekeeper personalities and non-beekeeper responses so well described.I HIGHLY recommend this book, it's a page turner!!!! I wish I could get it autographed! We gave this titled item as a gift to our son,a fervent beekeeper. He reports he read it all the way through and "enjoyed it."
